Our Story

North Country Food Lab is a company built organically by a self proclaimed Microbe Assassin Tess Eidem (Ph.D Microbiologist) and  Microbe Wrangler Derek Staebell. (professional brewer. (Avery Brewing Company/Asher Organic Ales / Live Cultures Fermented Foods)

Their love of the unseen world has led them on a journey to create a life together sharing their experience, talents and love of all things microbial. Whether it be fermentation of food or the growth of spirulina as a bio-re-mediator or protein supplement,  North Country Food Lab has built their ideals on exploration, discovery and community engagement.  Join us on our journey to Eat Well, Love the Land, and Be Curious!
